The Master of Islamic Studies (MIS) degree is designed to meet the needs of those interested in pursuing their studies at higher level in this area. It is also aimed at developing specialisations in various areas of Islamic studies, such as Usuluddin (Theology), Shariah (Islamic Law and Jurisprudence), Dakwah (Preaching of Islam), and Sirah (Islamic History).
Entry Requirements
Normal Entry
- Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in Islamic Studies/ Syariah/ Usuluddin, or its equivalent; OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Studies/ Syariah/ Usuluddin, AND at least 3 years of related working experience.
Flexible Entry
- Be at least 35 years old on 1st of January (application year) AND
- Possess STPM/HSC (minimum 1 principal) OR
- Recognised Diploma or equivalent AND
- Passed Flexible Entry Assessment; AND
- Possess prior learning experience AND / OR knowledge relevant to the programme applied.
