CES 1123 | Introduction to General Linguistics | This course provides an introduction to the scientific study of language. It covers the developments in language study over the past two decades. It also looks at the increasing interest in many of the ‘applied’ areas of language study, such as input in language learning. |
CES 1133 | English Grammar | The course provides a broad perspective of English grammar. The aim of the course is to provide an overview of the English Language usage and its forms and functions. Exposure to the rudiments of the English Language will be the main premise of investigation. Besides, it seeks to nourish a love for and fascination with English grammar as well as prepares prospective teachers/ trainers to teach grammar and clarify learners’ problems. |
CES 1213 | TESl Methodology | This course examines current theories and ELT methods and their use in TESL with special attention to problems in Malaysia. A knowledge of methods helps expand a teacher’s repertoire of techniques. The course also prepares student teachers for their skill teaching courses. |
CPS 2113 | Teaching Techniques and Classroom Management | This course will expose students to general teaching and learning methods and class management strategies as well equip students with the theoretical and practical aspects of teaching in the classroom. OnCompletion of the course will be competent in teaching, managing classroom and Workshop. To prepare utilize and preserve teaching aids and chemicals. As well effectively teach and manage classrooms. |
CES 3226 | Teaching Practicum | This course exposes students to the aspects of teaching in private schools to enhance their teaching abilities, widen students’ experience and equip them with the theoretical and practical aspects of teaching. |
