IWD1123 | Introduction to Mobile Technology | This course will introduce the students to the world of mobile technology. It discussed on the architecture of mobile devices and the mobile routing features used in current mobile technology. |
IAD2133 | Object-Oriented Programming | This subject will cover fundamentals of OOP concepts. The students will be exposed to design, implement, test and debug simple programs in an OOP language. At the end of the syllabus, the students will integrate all the OOP concepts in order to develop a real world application using appropriate OOP language. |
IAD2253 | Computer & Network Security Fundamentals | This course will introduce the students the meaning of computer security, characteristics of computer Intrusion, computer criminals, methods of defense and understand what are we protecting and why. |
IAD2223 | Fundamental of Computer Network | The basic concept of networking is very important to be explored by the students in order to design and manage a LAN and WAN network environment. This subject will provide students with a necessary knowledge and good understanding on network technology and how to become a good network administrator. |

IWD2223 | Mobile Database. | This course includes the history and development of mobile data processing and also highlighted why the fundamentals of conventional database management systems existing approaches are not adequate for mobile databases. Concurrency control mechanism schemes, data processing and mobility, management of transactions, mobile database recovery schemes, data dissemination via wireless channels.Case studies and examples are used liberally to aid in the understanding and visualization of complex concepts. Various exercises will enable students to test their grasp of each topic before advancing in the course. |

IWD2243 | Wireless and Mobile Security | Wireless and mobile technologies cover a broad range of differing capabilities oriented toward different uses and needs. Security measures taken depend on the different protocols, standards, techniques and systems available. A brief introduction to security protocols, standards and corresponding technologies is given in this subject particularly on 2G, 2.5G, 3G and wireless local area networks. Standards, like WAP, IEEE 802.11 and Bluetooth are included as well as the awareness of the vulnerabilities, threats and countermeasures associated with these wireless technologies |
