Programme Description
Health and wellness is a field of study that promotes total well-being of individuals and groups within a corporate and community context. The nutrition and health science focus of this program prepares graduates to handle issues that contribute to health and wellness by promoting and enhancing better quality lifestyle through proper nutrition, active physical, mental and social living to reduce the risk of diseases. In the long run, the course will benefit the population of all ages as the best way to overcome the escalating healthcare costs, by adopting a healthy and better quality lifestyle that starts from young. Diploma in Health & Wellness at AUCMS is a three year full time program. It aims to provide extensive and integrated teaching, covering the psycho-social and physical health issues, stress management, nutrition and health promotion theory, with a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach to individual, community and work place health promotion.
Assessments
Course assessments will be based on a combination of the following:
- Lectures
- Tutorials
- Practical
- Internship
- Passed SPM/SPMV/O-Level or equivalent with minimum 3 credits including one Science subject
OR
- Passed Certificate with minimum CCPA of 2.0 from any institutions that are recognized by the Malaysian Government.
