Social Entrepreneurship has been internationally recognized as a rapidly emerging field in Asia, America, Europe, Latin America and Africa. Despite being a new field, Social Entrepreneurship is being taught globally by major universities to enhance understanding of the discipline, promote academic research and create a new cadre of professional social entrepreneurs.
Social Entrepreneurs find practical solutions to social issues, through establishing businesses that focus on social problems. They find unique and innovative ways to address these issues, as well as to make reasonable profits like traditional businesses or enterprises.
MSc in Social Entrepreneurship (By Research) is unique in that it combines classroom learning with practical field experience and exposure. During this programme, students will be required to create a new social enterprise, or contribute to improving an existing one. The programme aims to produce graduates who are not only theorists, but also industry exposed.
