THE COURSE AT A GLIMPSE
An operating department practitioner works as part of the team in operating theatres and other critical care areas. They play an important role in the physical and psychological care of patients, looking after patients with various care needs including post-operative care. They also provide highly skilled help to surgeons, anaesthetists and other medical practitioners.
KPJUC’s operating department practitioner course is supported by high quality teaching staff, research and facilities, as well as strong links with Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU), United Kingdom.
Upon successful completion of this course, graduates will be competent in delivering healthcare services within the Operating Department and able to perform the following roles skillfully:
