The primary objective of the programme is to help fulfil the needs of the country for professional in tourism, the second major contributor towards foreign trade and Gross National Product. The program is designed to expand knowledge and skills in various tourism related fields such as event management, tourism planning and development, tourism psychology, and computerised booking and ticketing.
It is envisaged that graduates of this programme would be able to help contribute towards the generation of able workforce who are capable of enhancing the professionalism and effectiveness of tourism in the country.
Learners are to complete 120 credit hours to graduate.
Entry Requirements
Normal Entry
- Passed: SPM/SPMV/MCE or equivalent with 2 credits; AND
- Passed: STPM/HSC or equivalent with at least 2 principals (CGPA 2.00); OR
- Passed: a recognized Diploma; OR
- Passed: a recognized Matriculation certficate
Flexible Entry
- Malaysian Citizen; AND
- Be at least 21 years old on 1st of January(application year); AND
- Passed at least PMR or equivalent; AND
- Passed Flexible Entry Assessment; AND
- Possess prior learning experience or knowledge relevant to the programme applied.
