Geoinformatics is the art and science of gathering, processing, managing and disseminating spatial and attribute data of the earth. The course is intended to produce professionals who are capable of using the geoinformation technology for the economic and physical development of the country.
:: Programme Duration
Minimum 4 years (8 semesters), Maximum: 6 years (12 semesters)
:: Entry Requirements
Candidate needs to fulfill UTM’s general entry requirements and the following
programme requirements :
STPM
i) A pass with minimum of Grade C (CPA ≥ 2.00) in two (2) combination of the
following subjects: –
ii) A pass with credit in Mathematics in the SPM or equivalent exam.
Matriculation
i) A pass with minimum of Grade C (CPA ≥ 2.00) in two (2) combination of the
following subjects: –
ii) A pass with credit in Mathematics in the SPM or equivalent exam.
Diploma
Diploma Land Surveying or Geomaticss from UTM/equivalent (CPA ≥ 2.70)
