Human resource management is the managing and coordination of the productive use of people to achieve business objectives. Human resource management includes: the recruitment and selection of staff members, management of employee relations, training and development of staff, job evaluation, change management, and occupational health and safety.
Swinburne’s Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resource Management) is a vocationally oriented degree designed to equip students with the management skills and human behavioural knowledge for a career in human resource management. It is designed to assist in the intellectual, social and personal development of the student as preparation for entrance to a range of specialist and generalist business professions.
