Why study a Bachelor of Arts (Global)?
In this course, you don’t just study global culture, you experience it. Overseas travel is a compulsory part of the degree. Through your international studies major, you’ll spend at least one and up to three semesters abroad. You can travel between our international campuses or to an approved partner university anywhere in the world.
You’ll study the history of the 20th century before moving on to the issues of the 21st century. We focus on the effects of globalisation and integration, including the benefits (better and cheaper goods and services, better health, increased tolerance) and the downside (environmental destruction, the resurgence of aggressive nationalism, racism).
Each campus has a tailored selection of subjects to choose from. Here at Monash Malaysia, you could prepare yourself for reporting on the world stage by studying writing or journalism. And if opportunities (like jobs, internships or travel) arise, you can also study off campus for up to two semesters.
