Objective
- Respond to the needs of the country for higher-level accountants, auditors and financial managers. Graduates of the programme generally will find placement in local and international CPA firms; industries firms and government entities. .
- Enable students to demonstrate competencies in the development, measurement, analysis, validation and communication of financial and other information.
- Develop students with the relevant analytical and critical thinking, oral and written communication skills which are relevant to their field of study.
- Expose students to the unique aspects of global accounting and business issues.
- Expose students with new developments in Information Technology relevant to prospective position they are expected to assume in the world of work in the area of accounting, auditing and finance.
- Expose students with activities that help them work in teams/groups.
- Provide the educational background for students to meet the educational requirements of various accounting certification examinations.
- Ensure the curriculum meets the requirements of stakeholders and maintains its international standards of the field, and contributes for the development of the profession.
- Promote faculty’s or school’s competency through professional development schemes so as to help them compound their service to the community.

UNIRAZAK meets this demand by offering the Bachelor of Accounting (Hons.) that requires the passing of the professional level segments of CPA Australia’s CPA Programme in the final year. This programme qualifies the fresh graduate as an accounting and finance expert who is certified by an internationally recognised professional body.
Requirements
4 Year-Programme
- Pass in STPM with 3 principals; or
- ‘A’ Levels, Matriculation, Foundation or Pre-university; or
- Pass Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with 5Bs including English; or
- Diploma Accounting from UNIRAZAK with CGPA achievement at least 3.00; or
- Other Diploma from UNIRAZAK with CGPA achievement at least 2.75; or
- Diploma from other Universities with CGPA achievement at least 3.00; or
- Equivalent qualification which is recognised by the Malaysian Government.
5 Year-Programme
- Pass in SPM/SPMV/O-Level with 5 credits including Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mathematics or equivalent qualifications.
English Proficiency Requirements
International Students
- TOEFL 550 or IELTS Band 6 (students without TOEFL and IELTS are required to complete and pass an Intensive English Programme offered by the University).
- The validity period for TOEFL and IELTS is two (2) years from the date of the award.
Note: Additional charges will be imposed based on English placement level, in addition to the respective programme fees.
Malaysian Students
Malaysian students who enroll into Universiti Tun Abdul Razak Bachelor programmes must fulfill the following English proficiency requirements:
- Students who have a credit in English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are required to take additional English courses, depending on the level of proficiency.
- Students who do not have a credit in English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are required to undergo the Intensive English Programme.
- Students who have a distinction in English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are not required to take additional English courses.
Note: Additional charges will be imposed based on English placement level, in addition to the respective programme fees.
