The Diploma in Nursing is a 3-year (6 semesters) full-time programme. The emphasis of this programme is on the ‘art’ of nursing (caring) for individuals with health problems. The ‘science’ of nursing is integrated throughout the programme to enable the students to understand the rationale of care provided to clients.
Upon successful completion of the programme, the students will be eligible to sit for the Malaysian Nursing Board Examination to be licensed as a Registered Nurse.
The programme has full accreditation status from Malaysian Qualification Agency. The diploma is recognised by Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) and is accepted by Nursing Boards of many countries.

Course work and written examinations.
This programme prepares graduates for a broad spectrum of first-level practice roles in hospital and community health centres. It fosters a commitment to lifelong learning, critical reflective thinking and professional growth. The diploma is internationally recognised and allows graduates to work in any country, subject to registration requirements.
After 3 years of work experience, graduates will be able to further develop professionally through the Bachelor of Nursing Programme, which will enable the nurses to pursue other expanded roles and different kinds of career opportunities
