The Programme Learning Outcomes concentrates on the ability of the graduates to apply the skills and knowledge learnt in both the general business environment and the Islamic financial industry, by imparting core values with practical creativity in developing and evolving financial and business practices that are reflected in a well designed discipline of business administration specialising in Islamic Banking and Finance.

UCSI University’s BBA (Hons) in Islamic Banking & Finance is a full-time three-year programme with a trimester offering. Each semester lasts 14 weeks.

The BBA (Hons) in Islamic Banking and Finance is designed to enhance students’ knowledge in the field of banking and finance, especially in the theory and practice of modern international banking, in addition to the appreciation of related policy issues involved, both at the micro (managerial) and macro levels. Thus, the programme incorporates multi-disciplinary areas, covering topics on finance, banking, economics, recent developments and the effects of technological changes on banks, deregulation and the globalisation of the banking industry.
*International students holding equivalent academic qualifications but of non-English curriculum, are required to sit for the English Placement Test, which may result in the taking of the Certificate in English programme (1 to 10 months). Students who intend to pursue the above undergraduate programme directly, are advised to fulfill the above English requirements prior commencing their studies at the university.
The career prospects for graduates for this degree programme is promising, in view of the fact that the local banking and finance industry remains robust and is committed to implement the liberalisation programmes professionally. It is envisaged that banking and finance would attract students to be part of the new era of industrialisation to support product innovations and enable the well-trained and highly disciplined financial analyst/banker to look forward to a high quality of job satisfaction with enhanced employment prospects.
