This programme is designed to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue a future in various fields in mass communication.
The programme emulates a tertiary hands-on learning environment and emphasises on two-way interaction among students through lectures and tutorials.
Students will be put through continuous assessments that will encompass elements of public speaking, group work and creativity in their projects – grooming them into independent and confident learners.
Strong Communication Focus
- Exposure to the fundamental understanding of the communication industry with modules such as Introduction to Mass Communication, Media Appreciation and Introduction to Media Workshop.
- Appreciation of the complexity in dealing with issues, people and organisations.
- Understanding of the history of media, its role and its power of influence in today’s society.
Balanced Learning Environment
- Opportunity to acquire and demonstrate discipline specific knowledge, cognitive capabilities and soft skills.
- A balanced assessment method, whereby 50% of the evaluation is allocated to various continuous assessments such as quizzes, class test, projects and oral presentations, while the remaining 50% to the final exam.

Assessment
- Students will be graded on examinations, assignments, quizzes and projects. Students can monitor their own performance throughout the course, which gives them an opportunity to excel in their studies.
Entry Requirements
- Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) / O Level: Min. 5 credits including English and a pass in Bahasa Melayu
- Unified Examination Certificate (UEC): Min. 4Bs including English
- Other qualifications: Students with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis
