The academic progress of a research student is evaluated twice a year through progress reports. The degree is examined through the presentation of a thesis and a viva voce examination. A student who has satisfied the Examination Committee for Postgraduate Studies in all aspects of their work is eligible for the award of the Master degree.
Requirement for Master of Arts
A Bachelor degree of high quality with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 from any recognised local/foreign university and approved by the Senate of the University. (Applicants with a CGPA of less than 3.0 but with outstanding relevant working experience may also apply).
Duration of Study for Master of Arts
The normal duration of study for a Master’s degree (by research) is two (2) years full-time or four (4) years part-time.
English Proficiency
For international students, a minimum IELTS Score of 6.0 or its equivalent (eg.TOEFL-525; TOEFL Computer Test -196; TOEFL Internet Test 69-70) is required.
