Progam Introduction/Synopsis
The Bachelor of Science (Hons) Biotechnology is specifically designed to develop student with a strong foundation and skills that seek changing world of biotechnology.
This programme provides students with practical training allowing them to acquire the relevant skills needed in Biotechnology field. Students will also acquire a sound principle of science, gain basic knowledge in applied aspect of Biotechnology and enhance their communication and interpersonal skills, which are valuable to the needs of employers.
The study of Biotechnology provides the understanding and practical skills behind the use of biologically derived materials for a multitude of applications. Such materials include microorganisms (bacteria, yeast, algae) and materials derived from them and other biological sources (enzymes, protein, DNA, etc.). These applications include medicine, health, agriculture, consumer products, wine, food, pharmaceutics, and the environment.
Industrial Training and Final Year Project which link students directly to the industry and leading-edge research are the added features of this programme, giving it a practical hands-on approach.

- Any other qualification certified by the Government of Malaysia
