The Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering programme is a non-professional 3 year engineering programme provides students with a sound and broad understanding in various areas of electrical and electronic engineering. It provides opportunities to students to gain an internationally recognised professional qualification to enter employment as an engineering graduate or a progression route to postgraduate qualification in related area. In addition, the students will be exposed to a comprehensive related studies and engineering applications programmes which will prepare them for an active and useful role in the industry.

Graduates from Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering programme will not be accepted by Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) to apply for professional membership.

Entry Requirements

Any one of the following qualifications:

• Pass STPM with a full pass (minimum Grade C) in the subjects of Mathematics and Technical Science AND pass SPM or its equivalent with at least a pass in English;
• Pass ‘A’ Level with a full pass in the subjects of Mathematics and Technical Science;
• Pass relevant Matriculation programme from institutions recognized by Malaysian Government with CGPA ≥ 2.0*;
• Pass relevant Foundation programme from Kolej Universiti Linton or other institutions recognized by Malaysian Government with CGPA ≥ 2.0*;
• Pass relevant Diploma or Higher National Diploma (HND) programme in Engineering / Engineering Technology from institutions recognized by Malaysian Government with CGPA ≥ 2.0*;
• Recognised related Vocational and Technical / Skills Diploma with minimum CGPA 2.0 AND a pass in English at SPM level*;
• Other equivalent qualification recognized by Malaysian Government*;

*Subject to verification and approval of Legenda Education Group

English Language Requirements

(For international students only)

• International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with minimum overall Band 6; or
• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with minimum score of 550; or
• Cambrige or Edexcel GCE ‘A’ Level; or
• Equivalent intensive English course conducted by Kolej Universiti Linton.

Note:
* For all international students and local students who obtained exemptions for MQA Compulsory Modules
** The programme, Bachelor of Science (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering, provides three fields as electives in the final year. The above three fields are Control, Power and Communications. In order to achieve the award, students have to successfully pass all the modules (120 credits) including four elective modules (16 credits) in any of the above three fields. The field shall only be specified on the transcript but not on the scroll. If any student wishes to take any four elective modules from all the above fields, a general degree will be awarded.
