The Bachelor of Science in Project and Facility Management programme at OUM has been specifically designed to meet the ever-growing demand from the industry for highly qualified and competent professionals in the area of project and facilities management. This unique programme aims to develop graduates to be industry leaders with the ability to make sound business decisions, solve strategic and operational problems, and implement best project management practices in the built environment context. This is in line with the country’s vision to sustain the economic growth.
The aim of the Bachelor Science in Facility and Project Management programme is to develop a wide range of advanced subject knowledge, subject-specific skills, generic and transferable skills among working adults in industries towards creating specialised and technology driven workforce.
The objectives of this programme are to enable students to gain knowledge, skills, tools and techniques in managing projects, facilities, their environment and support facilities in both domestic and international markets.
Program Learning Outcomes:
- apply the basic principles of project and facility management,
- comprehend and use the knowledge in both project and facility fields to solve strategic and operation problems.
- apply social and communication skills, managerial and leadership skills and team skills during the project execution in a professional manner.
- analyse data and managing information; and
- prepare project report and discuss the project outcome and deliverables related to project and facility field.
Entry Requirements
Normal Entry
- Passed: SPM/SPMV/MCE or equivalent with 2 credits; AND
- Passed: STPM/HSC or equivalent with at least 2 principals (CGPA 2.00); OR
- Passed: a recognized Diploma; OR
- Passed: a recognized Matriculation certficate; OR
- Passed: a Polytechnic certificate in related field; OR
- Lower qualifications approved by Senate with at least 5 years related working experience.
Flexible Entry
- Malaysian Citizen
- Be at least 21 years old on 1st of January(application year); AND
- Passed at least PMR or equivalent; AND
- Passed Flexible Entry Assessment; AND
- Possess prior learning experience OR knowledge relevant to the programme applied.
