POD 1213 | Office Document Production | This course is designed to equip the student with knowledge, skills and develop understanding of office document. The syllabus consist of Introduction To Application of Common Word and Processing Software, Develop skills in producing Business Letters, Memorandum, Minutes of Meeting, Itinerary, Reports, Agenda and Tables. |
PPD 1123 | Office Procedures I | To equip students with the knowledge and develop understanding of an office and its procedures by using latest technology that assists in decision making role, provide students with professional and high ethical standards in a workplace. |
PPD 1223 | Office Procedures II | To equip the students with the broad knowledge in principles, theoretical concepts and practices of administration and management and provide the students to become a good administrators and decision makers in the organization. |
PPD 2443 | English for Administrative Management | This course emphasises on the English skills and knowledge required in their academic studies as well as their careers. It prepares students to meet the various demands required of them while competing in the field of their studies and while hunting for a suitable job after graduating. Learning strategies (LHTL) will be incorporated in the course to train autonomous learners. There will still be meaningful practice and the integration of the four language skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing – with emphasis on vocabulary and grammar through appropriate administrative management-related academic & occupational contexts. |

The syllabus consist of What is Records Management, Alphabetic Indexing (Rule 1-10), Electronic File Management, Alphabetic Records Management, Equipment and Procedures, Storing, Retrieving and Transferring Records, Electronic and Image Records, The Records and Information Management Program. |
POD 3543 | Event Management | The aim of this subject is to develop knowledge and understanding in the core area of tax related to individual and small business. The syllabus covers the basis of Malaysian taxation which particularly focus on the tax administration and legislation in Malaysia, scope of charge and the determination of tax residence status of an individual. This subject also exposed students on the determination of employment income as well as other sources of income i.e dividend, interest, royalties, rental, annuity and pension and other periodical payments. This subject also focuses on the calculation of chargeable income, relief and rebates of tax for tax residence of an individual as well as determination of tax payable by an individual. Finally this subject covers the determination of statutory income for sole proprietorship. |

PTD 3213 | Introduction to Research Methodology | This course is to provide an insight of the latest theories and techniques that are relevant in research methods especially in the business area. The course starts with deep appreciations of the definition and the importance of research. Then it will continue with the research process with emphasis of the research design, sampling, fieldwork and data analysis. This is important to ensure the students will have a strong grasp the real research value and to have deep appreciation in evaluating the significance of all steps in the research process. |
