Objective
The tourism industry in Malaysia is one of the fastest growing industries with significant contributions to the national economy. As this sector grows, there will be a greater emphasis and commitment to expand and improve tourism products and services.
This programme will involve students in context of the travel-related business, such as marketing, foreign languages and convention and meeting management. Special emphasis is placed on the development of interpersonal, communication and critical thinking skills.
Minimum Entry Requirements
- STPM with minimum full pass in 2 relevant subjects; OR
- A Level with minimum pass in 2 relevant subjects; OR
- South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) of 70 and at least Grade B in 2 relevant subjects; OR
- Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with minimum average of 70% for 6 relevant subjects; OR
- Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with minimum Grade B in 5 relevant subjects and minimum Grade C in English; OR
- Relevant Foundation, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College; OR
- Relevant Foundation from other Institution of Higher Learning* recognised by the Malaysian Government; OR
- Relevant Matriculation Certificate, Ministry of Education*; OR
- Relevant Diploma (Level 4 MQF), Tunku Abdul Rahman University College/Tunku Abdul Rahman College; OR
- Relevant Diploma (Level 4 MQF) from other Institutions of Higher Learning* recognised by the Malaysian Government; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications* recognised by the Malaysian Government
Academic Progression
On passing Bachelor Of Tourism Management (Hons) students can further carry their studies to the Postgraduate Degree Programme.
