Mechatronics combines mechanical, electronic and software engineering in the design, development and control of diverse systems used in a range of industries including manufacturing, medicine and the service industries. Examples of mechatronics systems include aircraft, dishwashers, motor vehicles, automated manufacturing plants, robots of all types, and many others. Graduates are therefore involved in almost every possible industry at levels from applications development to manufacturing to advanced research.
Entry Requirements
- STPM with minimum 2 Principal Passes in Mathematics and Physics
- A-Levels with minimum 2 Passes in Mathematics and Physics
- South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with a Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) 70 and at least Grade B in Mathematics and Physics
- Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with an average of 70% in 6 relevant subjects which must include Mathematics and Physics
- Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with at least Grade B in 5 relevant subjects which must include Mathematics and Physics
- Foundation in Science (TAR UC) Track A
- Relevant Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning
- Relevant Matriculation Certificate, Ministry of Education
- Relevant Diploma from Kolej Tunku Abdul Rahman (KTAR) or TAR UC
- Relevant Diploma from other Institutions of Higher Learning accredited by MQA
- Other qualification accredited by MQA
- And:
- At least a Credit Pass or equivalent in SPM English Language and Mathematics
