This programme provides a wide spectrum of knowledge and skills required for a career in the accountancy and finance profession. The curriculum covers key areas such as financial accounting & reporting, management accounting & control, accounting information systems, audit & assurance, public sector accounting, taxation, corporate governance, and professional values & ethics.

It is designed to:

• Produce responsible and competent graduates who possess strong professional ethical values and positive attitude expected of professionally qualified accountants.
• Produce graduates with the requisite knowledge, practical skills and attributes to pursue a career in the accountancy and finance profession.
• Equip graduates with managerial and entrepreneurial skills that will prepare them for both employment and self-employment.
• Provide students with an educational experience that motivates them to pursue higher level of study and lifelong learning.

Minimum Entry Requirements:

• STPM with minimum 2 full passes in the relevant subjects
• A-Levels with minimum 2 passes in the relevant subjects
• South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with minimum Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) of 70 and at least Grade B in 2 relevant subjects.
• Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with minimum average of 70% for 6 relevant subjects
• Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with minimum Grade B in 5 relevant subjects
• Foundation in Arts TAR UC
• Foundation in Science TAR UC
• Relevant Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning
• Relevant Matriculation Certificate, Ministry of Education
• Relevant Diploma, TARC / TAR UC
• Relevant Diploma from other Institutions of Higher Learning
• Other equivalent qualifications accredited by MQA
• AND
  • At least a Credit in SPM Mathematics or equivalent.
  • At least a Credit in SPM English Language or equivalent OR Grade B in AELE0364 English Language (1119 Level) conducted by TAR UC.
