SPM or its equivalent with minimum of 5 Cs for the subjects inclusive of Malay and Mathematics and at least a pass in English.
Or
Relevant certificate from Polytechnics under the Ministry of Education, Malaysia at least CPA 2.70 and posess Cs in Malay and at least a pass in English at SPM level.

General Requirements
The general academic requirements for admission into undergraduate degree programmes of UTHM are :
- At least three (3) principal passes in the General Certificate of Education ‘Advanced level’ (GCE) ‘A’ Level Examination (UK Educational System) obtained in one sitting; OR
- International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum of six (6) subjects obtained in one sitting ; OR
- A Diploma or any other Equivalent Qualification recognized by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the Senate of the University; OR
- Any other qualifications that are recognized by the Senat of the University as equivalent to the above.
AND
- TOEFL with minimum 500 marks IELTS with minimum Level 5 OR MUET band 2.
- If applicants do not satisfy requirement no.5, they are required to enroll inPrepatory English Course for one semester.
