Programme Description
The PhD programme by research allows postgraduates to contribute more deeply to the body of knowledge in computer science. These research programmes prepare postgraduates for careers in academia as well as industry-based research.
Besides the actual research project, students in the research programme are required to take a limited number of prerequisite courses required by the University and/or the School of Computer Sciences with the aim of preparing them for the research project as well as to enhance or complement prior knowledge.
The research project is pursued under the supervision of a least one academic staff of the School of Computer Science. As a result, the student is required to complete a thesis within the stipulated candidature period (see Duration).
