| The Department of Surgery is one of the busiest and active departments of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of the University Malaysia Sarawak being involved in the undergraduate and post graduate teaching-learning activities, clinical works at the Sarawak General Hospital, research works and other social activities.
Unlike the other years, we have absorbed the Accident and Emergency Medicine and Anaesthesiology under the Department of Surgery in addition to Otolaryngology ( ENT). Last year 2010 has become a historic year for the Department of Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University Malaysia Sarawak as we have successfully organized the first ever post graduate international examination in our faculty in collaboration with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, UK. |
