Programme Description
The design department offers an array of research opportunities supporting both industrial needs and practising artist/designer. Although new, the academic staffs have significant strengths and experience in both research and teaching and will be able to provide invaluable insights. The design department offers the following PhD & MA Candidates research clusters: art & play; culture, heritage & identity; healthy lifestyle; nature and space. We welcome interdisciplinary collaborative research from fields other than design.

Admission Requirements
Applicants should possess one of the following:
PhD
- A Master’s or Bachelor’s (First Class Honours or CGPA >3.67/4) degree in related areas.
Language Requirement
(Applicable for International Applicants Only)
- A minimum score of 550 in Paper- based TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language); or
- A minimum score of 213 in Computer-based TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) ; or
- A minimum score of 80 in Internet-based TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) ; or
- A minimum score of 6.0 in IELTS (International English Language Testing System); or
- Results must be attached with the application form.

- Part-time: Min 6 semesters / Max 15 semesters
