Programme Description
The Fine Arts programme is a 3-year course comprising 9 semesters. In line with The One Academy’s practical coaching approach, the programme offers bountiful opportunities to explore a wide range of media and practices, in this field where traditional and modern expressions constantly debate, critique and challenge boundaries. With a series of medium exploration and visual development, a visual language with strong personality will emerge, in the form of representational or abstract art.
In order to enhance students’ capability of working independently, the syllabus emphasises both studio and gallery-based courses designed to assist students to identify one’s creative direction and cultural interest, while strengthening their artistic abilities and techniques.
The development of research and analytical mindset is highly prized, since without which excellent skills alone will not create a strong impact. To enrich the meaning of artwork, and to reflect one’s worldview critically, students ought to consider the historical and contemporary context of art creation; an awareness of sociocultural evolution and popular aspiration is certainly a boost.
Through this programme, students will experience and be trained in different scenario, to emerge as prominent artists producing awesome masterpieces, with an aptitude for meticulous management and profound communication skills, and gain notability among gallerists and collectors.
