The SEGi Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) programme is ideal for students who wish to study the latest technological developments, techniques, and tools in IT whilst developing knowledge, understanding and skills relevant in the ICT industry and profession. The programme also allows students to develop higher level of entrepreneurial and cognitive skills beyond knowledge and understanding, where focus is given to the competency of analysis, synthesis, creativity and evaluation whilst developing other transferable skills such as problem solving, communication and interaction. Students will be well prepared with a range of practical, business and personal skills for the many specialist roles within the ICT and business sectors.
Upon completion of the programme, graduates will have a sound knowledge and understanding of the disciplines which underpin the development of ICT solutions in their selected sphere of study. The graduates will also have the ability to assess and apply a range of disciplines, techniques and approaches in developing ICT solutions while adopting an entrepreneurial and integrative perspective in the identification, analysis and resolution of ICT issues. The Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) will also provide students with the opportunity to gain accreditation towards professional certifications, including Java, Oracle, Microsoft Sun, and Cisco.

Graduates from the Bachelor of Information Technology (Hons) programme will be able to identify and take advantage of business opportunities both locally and globally, demonstrating their conduct that is consistent with business ethics and local culture. The graduates will also develop intellectual, technical and personal skills which facilitate effective problem solving, communication and teamwork which will provide them with the confidence and ability to work independently or in a group to explore and assess alternative courses of action.
