Do you have pre-university or foundation year qualifications but need another chance to earn a degree and move closer to your dream of becoming a journalist, social scientist, business professional, IT expert or scientist?
This one-year program is an alternative pathway to a Monash degree. It allows you to study first-year units in four of our schools – arts and social sciences, business, IT and science – and qualify for the second year of a chosen degree.
You have eight degrees to choose from across the four participating schools. Whichever you choose, you need to study six units related to your degree and two compulsory study-skills units, Learning in Higher Education and Academic Literacies, in your first year.

This course takes one year of full-time study to complete.
You need to satisfy our English language requirements to study at Monash. If you have trouble meeting them, consider enrolling in our Monash English Bridging.

In addition to the above English language and academic requirements, some schools require you to have fulfilled these pre-requisite subjects to enrol in their streams.
Science – at least one of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geography, Physics, Psychology or Mathematics at a higher level (Year 12 equivalent)
Business – Mathematics (Year 11 equivalent)
