This coursework degree addresses the needs of people working, or aspiring to work, in the communications industry. It looks at the history, development and reception of traditional and new media around the world and the changes in content delivery, policy and technology that have taken place in recent years. Students complete six units by coursework and may also undertake a minor research project.
The program’s curriculum is both theoretically and practically grounded. Many lecturers in the School of Arts and Social Sciences (SASS) are actively involved in local media industries. Their links with industry particularly benefit our students.
