They’re pushing developments in bioinformatics, gaming, networking, artificial intelligence and other fields that use and transform information.
So if you want to be where the action is, this is the course for you.
Our program focuses on algorithms, software development and the underlying theory of computation. You’ll study computational approaches in science and engineering and information-processing applications in industry and commerce.
The course consists of six core information technology units, eight core computer science and mathematics units (including a computer science project), two electives from an approved list of computer science topics and eight open electives. You can also complete a major or two minor sequences from your electives.

The course takes three years of full-time study to complete.
The course consists of 14 compulsory (core) units in computer science and mathematics, two restricted electives, chosen from an approved list of computer science topics, and eight free elective units. Free electives should normally be taken as a sequence in a specific field of study. A capstone project, taken during the third year, concludes your studies.
