About the Programme

This programme covers two of the most exciting areas of modern computer science: mobile and computing communication.  The revolution of mobile communication has transformed the way we communicate, work and live.  Many organisations have also taken advantage of the internet, creating entirely new business models and even whole new industries.

The Master of Science in Mobile Systems is a taught master’s programme. 

The Modules

This programme consists of six core modules, two elective modules and a dissertation project. Modules cover the technical intricacies of designing and developing mobile systems for communication.
The core modules are:

• Networking and the Internet
• Communication Fundamentals
• Mobile Communications
• Distributed Systems
• Mobile Computing
• Network and System Security
• Dissertation

The elective modules are:

• Wireless Communications
• Multimedia Processing in Mobile Systems
• Mobile Embedded System

Modules will are taught in a series of flexible teaching blocks, together with hands-on practical sessions.

Full-time 
Minimum 1 year, Maximum 2 years
Part-time 
Minimum 2 year, Maximum 4 years

Intakes

March and August.

Entry Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computing with minimum CGPA of 2.75
• Any other qualifications will be considered on a case-to-case basis
