Mastering a language is an ongoing lifetime commitment. Many people find their lack of good English skills makes it difficult for them to enjoy traveling to other countries, to maximize business opportunities or to succeed in enhancing their education. At ATIC, we believe that studying languages should be one of the most enjoyable, exciting and deeply satisfying learning experiences a person can have. We offer our students the opportunity to study language and the cultural aspects of the language in a relaxed and community-oriented atmosphere.

Our dedicated, highly qualified teaching staff and small class size ensures a rewarding learning experience. ATI College offers customized language courses and specialized language classes for both full time students and part time students. The full time students have incorporated in their diploma programmes an intensive English language course.

Intensive English Program

The main aim of this program is to address the specific the needs of the learner and provide necessary input and practice to aid them in their acquisition of the target language.

1. All elements of the language covered with focus on grammar and pronunciation.
2. Students are given lessons on language fluency and by interactive participation improve their conversational confidence. Situational role play facilitates the vocabulary and grammar building.
3. The students are placed in a level according to language ability and work their way up to the next level.
4. Testing and evaluation:
   • All learners are divided into their learner levels by a compulsory placement test. This is done to ensure that the needs of the learners are met and addressed.
   • A final post-testis given at the end of the term.
   • Their oral proficiency will be measure during their classroom activities as well as daily conversations.
5. The lessons will be theme based and all grammar components as well as the other language components will be taught in this context.

English Language Placement Test Grading

Level 1

Begin to communicate in English with confidence. Students will participate in speaking and writing. Lessons and class activities will be confused on basic grammar and vocabulary.

Level 2

Build the students’ basic knowledge of English and develop their ability to use English communicatively. They will be more fluent and able to use English grammar effectively.

Level 3

The students will develop a wider range vocabulary and learn how to use it flexible in spoken and written communication. They will continue to develop their ability to read and understand a variety of text types.

Level 4, 5

The students will continue to extend the use of the language so that they can express themselves spontaneously and fluently. They will work towards gaining good grammatical control in spoken and written communication.

Level 6

The students will be challenged to use the language flexible and effectively in a variety of contexts. Hence, broadening their language repertoire and work towards perfecting their grammatical accuracy.
