The discipline of project management has become central to the management approach adopted by numerous international industries in both public and private sector. From the construction and property industries to information technology and heavy industry, there is growing recognition of the benefits strategic project management can bring.
This programme equips graduates with the knowledge and skills to develop successful careers as professional project managers in the construction industry and beyond.
It offers a breadth of management, procurement and technology related subjects. It is focused on industrial relevance, ensuring that graduates are quickly able to make a positive and effective contribution to the success of their working environment, and the development of their own professional careers.
In accordance with our normal practice, our professionally orientated programmes are
designed to meet the educational requirements for membership of relevant professional
institutions, and we seek accreditation by UK and international professional bodies in
accordance with their standard procedures.
This programme is accredited by the Board of Quantity Surveyors Malaysia (BQSM) and
the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
For graduates with a first degree in a built environment subject it can provide a competitive edge in a fierce employment market. For architects, engineers and other professionals it can provide a move into project management. The programme increasingly attracts those whose qualifications and experience lie outside the field of construction, but recognise the career opportunities that exist for suitably qualified Construction Project Management graduates.
Assessment of the taught component is through a balance of examinations and coursework
First or second class Honours degree in a relevant discipline.
If English is not your first language then you must provide evidence of proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.5.
