Overview
The aim of the course is to teach what are considered to be the basic skills that underpin all Information Technology. This resulted in formative assessments designed to develop skills in computer and multimedia applications; problem solving and programming; databases, information systems and Web-based systems; and computer and network maintenance. Other specific and in-depth skills were left to be taught in the specific degree programmes.
This programme is exclusively deliberated for fresh school leavers as the beginning of their successful educational journey. As a one-year bridging program, it provides preparatory core competencies for domestic and international students preparing for undergraduate studies.

| ITA 1243 | Computer Fundamental | In this course, student should be able to understand basic computer concept and their terminology in ICT, the importance of computer literacy and able to identify the component of a computer as well as the element of an information system. Besides, they will be introduced to the history of internet, computer communication tools and computer security risks. The students will be able to practice on how to apply three types of application software. |
| ITA 1113 | Problem Solving Technique | This course is to introduce the concept of programming and give an approach in problem solving. This course also will help student to generate interest of learning programming languages. The steps of the programming life cycle will also be highlighted, in order to ensure the students understand the program development. Students also learn about the contents of programs such as control structures, functions and arrays. |
| ITA 1XX3 | Ethics in Computing | This course will introduce student about the responsibility of being an IT literate individual. Rather than solely focusing on knowledge, it is crucial for students to identify the importance of being an ethical computer expert. |
