Elementary Mathematics I | This subject covers real number system, indices, surds and logarithms, inequalities and absolute values, functions, polynomials, arithmetic and geometric progression, matrices and systems of linear equations, coordinate geometry and conic sections, and trigonometry. |

Elementary Chemistry I | Review of basic principles in chemistry, introduction to atoms concept, electron structure in atom, periodic table, chemical bonding, study of matter and kinetic properties. |
FFA 1114 |
Elementary Physics I | This subject covers physical quantities with mathematical concepts applied in physics, vectors, kinematics motion with free fall and projectile motion. Other topics are impulse, momentum, collision, Newton’s Laws, static equilibrium, properties of matter, and energy. |

Introduction To Biology | The course covers the study of cells which include structure and functions in eukaryotic and prokaryotic cell, animal and plant cell and also the use of microscopes.The other topics are the biomacromolecules such as carbohydrates, lipid, protein and nucleic acid related to structure and functions, cell transportations, the human and plant cell specialization.
It also includes the topics of chemical reactions based on enzymes mode of action, properties and enzymes inhibition, the photosynthesis in terms of chemical equation, biochemistry, factors that affect its rate of photosynthesis and comparison with respiration, then the aerobic and anaerobic respiration occur in human and plants. |
