Programme Description
Overview
Students are prepared for admission into Engineering-related degrees at INTI. They will be equipped with a solid fundamental knowledge of their fields of studies, which include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and Basic Computing.
Learning Approach
Students will be introduced to Problem-based Learning, group discussions and projects to help them develop study skills, presentation skills, research skills and time management. This will further enhance their critical and analytical skills and preparet hem for the demands of tertiary studies and the working world.
Assessment
There are 2 assessment components throughout the Foundation in Engineering course:
- Continuous course work (60%)
The continuous course work component comprises different assessment tasks such as projects, assignments, laboratory work, presentations, tests, and other work as assigned throughout each semester
- Final examination (40%)
The final examination is conducted at the end of each semester. The assessments are subject to quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards and ensure fair assessment.
