Introduction

The Foundation In Business Programme aims to provide a structured programme of development of leadership and management skills.

Through this programme, students will develop an integrated and critically aware knowledge and understanding of management and organisations. The programme aims to develop transferable and intellectual skills will enable individuals to enrich and improve on the practice of leadership and management skills.

This programme is designed to equip SPM/ O Levels or equivalent students to acquire the required academic study skills and English Language proficiency in order to continue their undergraduate study at local and foreign universities.

This programme also aims to provide students planning to undertake a business management degree with foundational knowledge and exposure to the world of business.

MQA Modules The programme is structured to meet the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and the Ministry of Higher Education’s approval criteria which include mandatory delivery and assessment of 3 compulsory MQA subjects and a 50 credit requirement for the award.

This programme will be delivered over a full academic year of three long semesters.

• Lectures, using question-answer and brainstorming as well as other means to stimulate interaction
• Seminars, case studies, exercises and discussions
• Private study to prepare for group discussion and presentations.
• Private study to prepare for assignments
