Programme Description
The aim of this programme is to enhance the student’s skills in current scientific knowledge in theory, method and application of literature in various fields such as comparative literature, Nusantara literature and literary theory.
The programme structure is flexible and it allows students to acquire the opportunities of enhancing their knowledge in certain field of studies by doing research topics based on their interest, ability and educational experience.
Candidates who join this programme have the option of choosing part-time or full-time status to suit their personal and work schedule.

• Literary Theory [Post-colonialism; Feminism; Post-structuralism]

Admission Requirements
Applicants should possess the following:
PhD
• A Master’s or Bachelor’s (First Class Honours or CGPA ≥ 3.67/4) degree in a related area.
• Degree awarded by local private institutions of higher learning including those awarded under any collaborative/franchising schemes with local or international partners must be accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA).
Language Requirement
(Applicable for International Applicants Only)
• A minimum score of 550 in Paper- based TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language); or
• A minimum score of 213 in Computer-based TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) ; or
• A minimum score of 80 in Internet-based TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) ; or
• A minimum score of 6.0 in IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
• Results must be attached with the application form.

PhD
• Full-time: Min 4 semesters / Max 10 semesters
• Part-time: Min 6 semesters / Max 15 semesters
