Information and communication technology is increasingly being used by industry and commerce as a means of gaining a commercial advantage either by reducing manual costs or by improving the quality of their products or services. Advancement in computer and microelectronic systems is leading to a rapid change in information and communication technology. Under this trend of rapid development in ICT, the demand for ICT personnel in communication and networking will continue unabated. The Diploma in Science programme is thus to prepare graduates for employment in all sectors of industries where information and communication technology is employed. Graduates could seek jobs as programmers and network or computer systems hardware/software technical support staff.
