A holder of the Diploma in Pharmacy will have developed an understanding of a body of knowledge in the field of compounding and dispensing, acquired sufficient communication ability, analytical capability, problem solving capacity and IT know-how that can be applied in pharmaceutical care, under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

The intake for Diploma in Pharmacy program, is once a year, in July.
Three (3) years or six (6) semesters.
The conduct of the program includes lectures, problem based learning, tutorials, practical sessions, computer-aided interactive learning (CAL) and clinical pharmacy training.
Students may apply for scholarships or loans offered by various State Governments, Academic Foundations, Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional (PTPTN) or the private sector.

Pharmacy assistants help registered, licensed pharmacists to dispense medications and healthcare products to patients. There is strong demand for Pharmacy Assistants in government and private hospitals, community pharmacies and the pharmaceutical Industry. The job prospect is expected to be further enhanced due to the current and future expansion of healthcare services in the country.
Qualified Diploma of Pharmacy holders of students can apply to pursue Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons.) programme.
