Electronic Workshop | This is a practical session which is to expose student to electronic component and symbol, circuit design, pattern transfer, etching process, drilling and soldering technique, safety procedure and trouble shooting of circuit. The final work is to construct a single sided printed circuit board according to the specifications on a circuit diagram. |
KED 2113KED 2223 | Circuit Theory ICircuit Theory II | This course provide the understanding of the basic concept of electric circuit, identify and analyse the circuit by using various ac and dc analysis techniques and theorem such as Ohm’s Law, Kirchoff’s Law, nodal, mesh analysis, superposition, source transformation, Thevenin’s and Norton’s Theorem and also maximum power transfer. Analyze First order circuits RL and RC using source free and step response circuit, second order circuit and understand the concept of two port network in admittance parameters. |

Digital Design | Digital design consists of fundamental and knowledge of basic principles of digital system which are Digital-to-Analogue Converter (DAC) and Analogue-to-Digital Converter (ADC) , memory and storage, microcomputers and microprocessors. Analyze simple Programmable Logic Device (PROM,PAL,PLA,GAL) and Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA). Design the combinational logic circuits using Boolean expression and truth table techniques, design the sequence circuits using finite state machine (FSM) and algorithmic state machine (ASM) and design the digital system circuit using VHDL. |
