BTEC Higher National Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering

BTEC Higher National Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering course is designed for students who wish to develop a career at a senior technical or supervisory level, relating to the generation, distribution or utilisation of electrical energy.

It equips students with knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits, which can then be applied to analogue digital and power electronics and a range of heavy current applications such as electrical machine and distribution systems.

Entry Requirements

Any one of the following qualifications:

• Pass STPM / GCE ‘A’ Levels with 1 relevant principal, including Mathematics or ONE (1) Science subject: Mathematics S, Mathematics T, Further Mathematics, or Physics, with a pass in Mathematics, English and ONE (1) relevant Science / Technical / Vocational subject at SPM level;
• Pass relevant Foundation / Matriculation programme from institutions recognized by Malaysian Government with CGPA ≥ 2.0*;
• Pass relevant Certificate in Engineering / Engineering Technology / Vocational / Technical / Skills from Polytechnics recognized by Malaysia Government with ONE (1) year of relevant work experience or ONE (1) semester of a Bridging Programme*;
• Other equivalent qualifications recognized by Malaysian Government*;

*Subject to verification and approval of Legenda Education Group

English Language Requirements

(For International Students)
All international students from a country in which English is not used as the medium of instruction in formal education are required to meet the following English language requirements:

• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): minimum score of 550 (PBT) or 213 (CBT) or 79 – 80 (iBT)
• International English Language Testing System (IELTS): minimum overall Band 6.
• Malaysian University English Test (MUET) : minimum Band 6.

The test must be taken no more than two years before the start of your studies at Legenda.
