The BSc (Hons) Information Systems bridges technical IT elements with business flavours. It focuses on providing underlying technical IT skill sets and at the same time gives exposure on fundamental business knowledge and managerial issues in organisations. This marriage between the world of IT and business renders competitive advantage to our programme because with the knowledge gained on IT, organisation, and people, our graduates will have the capability to produce well-thought, comprehensive, and innovative solutions to organisational IT issues. They also have the capability to serve as effective liaisons between technical IT departments and the rest of business functions in organisations.
The BSc (Hons) Information Systems also has an analytics focus. Students who completed the programme will be able to obtain a SAS certification by taking subjects in Business Intelligence Systems, Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining, Knowledge Management, and Statistics.

Programme Content
In Year 1, students are being introduced to fundamental IT subjects such as programming concepts, problem solving, database and web.
In Year 2, students are taught more IS managerial subjects to venture into IS management.
In Year 3, students are exposed to more specialised IS subjects as well as analytics subjects.
