The three-year degree provides students with technical ability and knowledge specific to finance and accounting. Students will acquire the technical language and practices of accounting and the application of information technology, communication and analytical skills. Upon completion, students will be able to demonstrate skills in preparing financial statements, performing analysis and delivering financial projections which are much sought after by industry and commerce.
Graduates can opt for a career as a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Certified Accountant, Chartered Public Finance Accountant or a Chartered Management Accountant. However, this programme will also provide an excellent foundation for entry into the fields of commerce, business management or banking and finance.

MQA Compulsory subjects
The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants has granted the maximum exemption of 9 papers for KBU’s BSc Accounting & Finance degree; thus, graduates need to sit for the remaining 5 papers only.
The exempted papers are:-
*All local students are required to take 3 MQA Compulsory Subjects that include Bahasa Kebangsaan A, Malaysian Studies, and Islamic Studies (for Muslims) or Moral education (for non-Muslims). Malaysian students are required by MQA to pass all these 3 subjects to qualify for their awards. MQA Compulsory Subjects are optional for all International Students
