This Bachelor of Science (Environmental and Occupational Health) was first initiated in year 1998 with the first batch of students graduated in year 2001. To date (year 2011), a total of 11 batches of students have graduated from this program.
This program encompasses fundamental and integrated knowledge in the field of Sciences, Health Sciences, Environmental Health, Occupational Health and Community Health. Students are exposed to various learning techniques in order to maximize their learning potential.
Methods of learning includes lectures, tutorials, seminars, laboratory sessions, self-directed learning, case studies, computer-assisted learning, field work, practical training and industrial attachment in government and private agencies, presentations, course work as well as scientific research projects

Advantages Certification by The Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Malaysia Graduates are certified competent to be registered as Safety and Health Officer with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health after 3 years’ experience in the field of Safety and Health. In addition, graduates are exempted from the Chemical Health Risk Assessment training and proceed directly to the competency exam as a chemical health risk assessor.
Accreditation by Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) UK This accreditation enables graduates to seek employment in environmental and public health fields in local governments, central government and its agencies and across the private sector in the international arena. A CIEH accredited degree is recognized around the world in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Malaysia, Oman, Singapore and the USA. |
