Bachelor of Technology (Hons) in Water and Wastewater is a unique programme that is only offered at IUKL, and was designed in response to a critical local need for qualified degree holders in this field. This programme provides students with the knowledge and foundation in the field of water and wastewater infrastructure by promoting a sound understanding of the field. Water is an important commodity and as the population increases, the demand for clean water and the treatment of wastewater is crucial globally. The developments of various industrial sectors also cause the demand for water to escalate. The programme is a sophisticated combination of civil engineering and wastewater engineering to meet the ever growing demands in the water treatment sectors. Graduates of this programme will be directly involved in the supply, collection, treatment and disposal of water and wastewater as well as designing various water and wastewater treatment units.
