Nursing is a specialised profession that focuses on caring, nurturing, educating and research within the healthcare system. Those who are willing to learn, who possess leadership qualities and have a strong desire to care for and improve the quality of life of the sick should consider pursuing a course of study in Nursing. The nursing degree at IMU aims to produce knowledgeable, skilled nurses with clear critical thinking skills who are caring, assertive, motivated and well-disciplined.

A nursing graduate can aspire to become a university professor, a clinical specialist, a research specialist, or a director of nursing. Applicants are required to have one of these at the point of entry:
| MUET | Band score of 3 (for Malaysian students only) |
| IELTS | Overall band score of 5.5 Those who opt for overseas option must achieve an overall band score of 7.0 |
Students without IELTS or MUET can opt to sit for the Password English Test which is available only in IMU and must obtain the equivalent score required for IELTS. Students who have successfully enrolled using the Password English Test are still required to sit for MUET and (or) IELTS exam within the first year of their studies in IMU. This is ONLY applicable to those who are completing the entire degree in IMU, Malaysia. Please contact Admissions Office for further details or to register for the test.
