Broadcasting is one of the most persuasive forces in the world today. For many people, broadcasting is a major source of events, information, entertainment as well as education. This programme offers a comprehensive knowledge of the electronic media and the acquisition of skills in broadcast television, Internet programming and content production.
Students will be exposed to the technological development, concepts of broadcast programming and production, and hands-on experience in operating audio recorders, cameras, video recorders and recording a programme in a three-camera studio.
This three – year programme integrates practical skill – based training with high level academic study, creative practice and critical reflection in a context of solid professional and Industry knowledge. The courses are designed to acquaint students with fundamentals skills in visualization, scriptwriting and audio/ video production necessary to create and produce effective television and radio programmes. Students are also provided with theoretical and critical understanding of the society and popular culture.
