This programme equips students with technical abilities and knowledge of the software & information systems development, network communications and information management. The students will also be made aware of legal and moral issues that bound them to the society and industry. They will have an opportunity to work with industry through their 6-months industrial training and to carry out real-life projects in software & information systems development, network communications or information management. All such training will add value to their qualification and later to their employers.
The programme is geared to produce graduates and equip them with in-depth knowledge and skills that are essential to work as professionals in the software & information systems development and computer networking sector. Graduates will be well trained in concept and skills in various platform of software & information systems development like web development, visual programming and mobile applications development. Graduates will also be well trained in the area of computer networking and information management.
Minimum Entry Requirements
- STPM with minimum 2 full passes in the relevant subjects which must include Mathematics.
- A Level with minimum 2 Principal passes in the relevant subjects which must include Mathematics.
- South Australian Matriculation (SAM) with minimum Tertiary Entrance Rank (TER) of 70 and at least Grade B in one Mathematics subject.
- Canadian Pre-University (CPU) with minimum average of 70% for 6 relevant subjects including minimum 70% for one Mathematics subject.
- Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with minimum Grade B in 5 relevant subjects which must include Advanced Mathematics or Advanced Mathematics (I or II). Grade C in English/minimum Grade C in AELE0364 English Language (1119 Level)** conducted by TAR UC.
- Foundation in Science (Track A / Track B), TAR UC
- Foundation in Arts (Track A), TAR UC
- Relevant Foundation from other Institutions of Higher Learning
- Relevant Matriculation Certificate, Ministry of Education
- Relevant Diploma, TARC/TAR UC. Diploma in Science (Computer Science & Management Mathematics), Diploma in Science (Computer Science & Computer Mathematics), Diploma in Science (Computer Science & Statistics), Diploma in Science (Internet Technology), Diploma in Science (Information Systems Engineering).
- Relevant Diploma from other Institutions of Higher Learning recognised by the Malaysian Government
- Other equivalent qualifications accredited by MQA
- At least a Credit in SPM Mathematics or equivalent.
- At least a Pass in SPM English Language or equivalent OR Grade C in AELE0364 English Language (1119 Level) conducted by TAR UC. OR
- O Level Grade D in Mathematics and Grade E in English Language.
